Our History
The Sir Pius Ufudo Foundation was incorporated in 2018 as a not-for-profit organization focused on the developing our hometown, Nnobi in Anambra State. We seek to find sustainable and long-term solutions to some of the major developmental issues facing our community and are working with like-minded people and organisations to fund and implement the solutions.
We are building on the belief of our Patriarch, Late Sir Pius Ifeanyichukwu Ufudo, that the surest path to societal development is through quality education – especially at primary and secondary school levels – and adequate healthcare for all.
Since inception, our social interventions in our community have been carefully tailored toward making significant and long-term changes to the quality of life of ndi Nnobi.
The Sir Pius Ufudo Foundation has transformed Nnobi through impactful projects in education, health, infrastructure, and community development. It built a modern school, library, and a 400-seater hall as part of the Sir Pius Ufudo Complex. Over 500 students have received free IT training, and 744 citizens now benefit from the health insurance scheme. The Foundation also constructed a community water scheme and a 700m access road. Monthly events like Movie Saturdays and birthday celebrations foster joy and engagement among children
Community Infrastructure
The Foundation employs and equips a dedicated team that maintains all roads and drainage systems in Ifite Ogbeadiji, ensuring cleanliness and preventing erosion.
Health Insurance
Launched in 2023, this initiative provides free health insurance coverage for indigent citizens of Nnobi via the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency.
Education
The Foundation awards scholarships to over 50 students annually, spanning primary to university level, as well as vocational training. They also donate computers to schools and for use in the Fred Uchenna Udeaja Library.
